Yes, I’m a Writer with Amy Espeseth
Unearth your voice, embrace your story! As part of the 2025 Regional Writers Rise Festival, award-winning novelist and writing mentor Amy Espeseth led an inspiring Sunday afternoon workshop at Moe Library designed to help emerging writers step into their craft with confidence.
In Yes, I’m a Writer, Amy blended the grit of realism with the lyrical beauty of nature and just a touch of magic, reminding us that our everyday experiences, rural landscapes, and untold stories deserve space on the page.
Through hands-on exercises and reflective discussion, this nurturing, craft-based workshop encouraged writers to channel authenticity, embrace enchantment, and find their unique rhythm. It was a chance to lean into our stories, proudly claim the title of ‘writer’, and explore how honesty, imagination, and place shape the narratives we tell.
Amy Espeseth is an acclaimed writer, academic, and communications specialist based in Gippsland.
